The following planning applications are those affecting the setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view on our website. Views relating to the planning applications listed below should be made by 10/09/2020 quoting the reference number. All views expressed regarding a planning application will be considered and placed on a file, which is open to the public. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Ravensroost Road, Braydon and Minety; from its junction with C67 to its junction with The Common to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation works to lay cable, build chamber and cabinets. Alternative route: via The Common - Mile Straight -C67 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2020 and the closure will be required until 28 September 2020. B) Crookwood Lane (Part), Urchfont; from its junction with Bridleway 41 for a distance of approximately 200 metres in an easterly direction to enable Centurion Services to carry out a safety examination of the Railway Bridge. Alternative route: via Crookwood Lane (unaffected length) - Stroud Lane - A360 - Broadway - Spin Hill - Grove Road - B3098 -Blackboard Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 00:00 and 23:59 until 25 September 2020. C) Pelch Lane (Part), Seend; from its property known as Pelch Farm for a distance of approximately 10 metres in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out a new connection. Alternative route: via Pelch Lane (unaffected length) -Bollands Hill - A361 Trowbridge Road - C226 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2020 and the closure will be required until 17 September 2020. D) A342 (Part), Rushall, Charlton, Wilsford, Marden, Chirton and Urchfont; from its junction with Pewsey Road to its junction with B3098 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge and highway remedial works. Alternative route: via A342 (unaffected length) - A360 - B3086 - The Packway and vice versa. Alternative route for vehicles over 4.1 metres: via A342 (unaffected length) -A360 - Cheverell Road - High Street - A360 - B3086 - The Packway and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 until 09 October 2020. E) Smith Close Footpath, Pewsey; from its junction with Vale Road to its junction with Smith Close to enable Spire House Developments to carry out a sewer connection and upgrade the footpath. Alternative route: via Smith Close - Nether Leaze - Vale Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2020 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 09 October 2020. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
