Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County of Wiltshire (B3108, Bradford on Avon and Winsley) (40mph Speed Limit) Experimental Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that on 18 August 2020 Wiltshire Council made the above-mentioned Experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will have a maximum I duration of 18 months during which time consideration will be given to introducing a permanent Order. The effect of the Experimental Order will be: 1. To suspend The County of Wiltshire (B3108, Winsley and Bradford on Avon) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2001 for the duration of the Experimental Order. 2. To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on B3108 - from a point 120 metres west of its junction with Downs View, Bradford on Avon to a point 250 metres south west of its junction with C238 Great Ashley Lane, Winsley. . Wiltshire Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Objections to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation should be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made, quoting reference LJB/TRO/WINSexp: a) within a period of six months beginning with the day on which the Experimental Order came into force; or b) if that Order is verified by another Order or modified pursuant to Section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, within a period of six month beginning on the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force. Any person aggrieved by the Experimental Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six week of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 31 August 2020.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: To introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of road: A350 Trowbridge Road - from a point 111 metres south of Millbrook Roundabout in a northerly direction to a point 160 metres north of that roundabout, a total distance of 302 metres; Mays Drive - from its junction with Millbrook Roundabout for a length of 12 metres in an easterly direction.
