Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to: a) To remove Loading Only 8am - 6pm and replace with No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading at Any time on the following length of road: Brown Street - east side - from a point 4 metres north of the west side vehicular access to Cross Keys Arcade for a distance of 9 metres in a southerly direction, b) To remove No Waiting Monday to Saturday Bam - 6pm and replace with No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road: Brown Street - east side - from a point 3 metres north of its southern boundary with No.23 for a distance of 23 metres in a southerly direction. The various restrictions will be clearly Indicated by traffic signs and cones.

4. The County of Wiltshire (Salisbury) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2013 Experimental Order No.01 2020
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council made the above-mentioned Experimental Orders on 2 October 2020 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and the Order 4 also under the Traffic Management Act 2004. The Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months and during that time consideration will be given to introducing a permanent Order. The effect of the Experimental Orders will be as follows.
Order 1 - To introduce Bus Gates (prohibition of driving) with exemptions for buses, coaches, taxis, private hire vehicles, pedal cycles and permit holders (the bus gate will operate by a camera enforcement system) on the following lengths of road: Castle Street - from its junction with Avon Approach to a point 28 metres south of that junction; Fisherton Street -from its junction with Malthouse Lane to a point 18 metres south east of that junction; Catherine Street - from its junction with New Street to a point 10 metres north of that junction.
Order 2 - To introduce a prohibition of left hand turn from Chipper Lane into Castle Street with exemptions for local buses and pedal cycles.
Order 3 - To introduce a 7.5 tonne weight limit operating from 10am to 4pm on the following lengths of road: Blue Boar Row, Bridge Street, Catherine Street, Minster Street, New Canal, Silver Street - the complete lengths; Castle Street - from its junction with Avon Approach to its junction with Minster Street; Endless Street - from its junction with Scots Lane to its junction with Queen Street; Fisherton Street - from its junction with Malthouse Lane to its junction with Bridge Street; High Street - from its junction with New Street to its junction with Silver Street; Milford Street - from its junction with Queen Street to its junction with Brown Street.
- To introduce a prohibition of left hand turn from Chipper Lane into Castle Street with exemptions for local buses and pedal cycles.
- To introduce a 7.5 tonne weight limit operating from 10am to 4pm on the following lengths of road:
- the complete lengths;
- from its junction with Avon Approach to its junction with Minster Street;

Order 4 - The County of Wiltshire (Salisbury) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2013 will be amended by the suspension of Map Schedule IK83 (Zone E) dated 25/03/2019 and the insertion of new Map Schedule IK83 (Zone E) dated 21 /10/2020 for the duration of the Experimental Order. The effects of the Order will be:

To remove the current Pay and Display Mon-Sat 8am-6pm Max stay 1 hour and No waiting Sat 6pm-midnight and Sun midnight - 6am and introduce No waiting at any time on the southern side of Milford Street - from outside of the Red Lion Hotel to the western boundary of No.12 Milford Street; To remove the current No waiting at any time and introduce No waiting at any time and No loading at any time on the following lengths of road: Catherine Street - west side - from the southern boundary of No.30 Catherine Street to the outside of No.32 Catherine Street (Traveller's World); Catherine Street - west side - from outside of Southons of Salisbury to outside of No.44 Catherine Street

Wiltshire Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Objections to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation should be made in writing to reach the Traffic Order Team, Sustainable Transport, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN, by email to

stating the grounds on which they are made (quoting reference HKB/TRO/SALSExp):
(a) within a period of six months beginning with the day on which the Experimental Orders came into force; or

(b) if that Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, within a period of six months beginning on the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force.

Any person aggrieved by the Experimental Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of
schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
The Orders will come into operation on 21 October 2020.
WILTSHIRE COUNCIL NOTICE OF PENALTY CHARGES FOR BUS LANE ENFORCEMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wiltshire Council in accordance with its powers under Section 144 of the Transport Act 2000 and Sections 72 and 77 of the Traffic Management Act 2004, in consultation with the Secretary of State for Transport have set the following penalty charges in relation to the civil enforcement of bus lane contraventions in accordance with The Bus Lane Contraventions (Penalty Charges, Adjudication and Enforcement) (England) Regulations 2005:
1. Penalty Charge: £60.00
2. Reduced Charge: if paid before the end of 14 days beginning with the date of service the penalty charge will be reduced by one half to £30.00, and
3. If the penalty charge has not been paid by the end of 28 days beginning with the date of service, the Authority may increase the penalty charge by a half to £90.00 and take steps to enforce payment of the charge as so increased.

The above charges will take effect from 22 October 2020.
