Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C118 (Part), Bremhill and Christian Malford; from its junction with Hare Street to its junction with B4069 Main Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, road marking and adjustment of ironworks. Alternative route: via B4069 - Friday Street - Thornend - West End and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 November 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 until 25 November 2020. B) Pond Lane, Charlton; from its junction with B4040 to its junction with Pink Lane to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out laying cable to build chambers and cabinets. Alternative route: via Pink Lane - Brickyard Hill - Moor Lane - B4040 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 November 2020 and the closure will be required until 20 November 2020. This Order will come into operation on 09 November 2020 and the closure will be required until 13 November 2020. Alternative route: via Easton Road - A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 November 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 until 20 November 2020. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: F) Chisbury Lane (Part), Little Bedwyn; from its junction with Horsehall Hill to its junction with Footpath 9, Little Bedwyn to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out replacement of electricity poles and associated works. Alternative route: via Horsehall Hill - A4 -Chisbury Village - Chisbury Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 October 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. G) Pink Lane (Part), Charlton; from its junction with Brickyard Hill for a distance of approximately 1.90 kilometres in an easterly direction; H) Pink Lane (Part), Charlton; from its junction with Sundays Hill for a distance of approximately 60 metres in a northerly direction; I) Pink Lane (Part), Chariton; from its junction with Eighty Acres for a distance of approximately 700 metres in a westerly direction to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation works to lay cable build chamber and cabinets. Alternative route (g) and (h): via Pink Lane (unaffected length) - Park Lane - Brickyard Hill and vice versa. Alternative route (i): via Queen Street - Somerford Common Lane -Braydonside - Sundays Hill - Pink Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 October 2020 and the closures will be required until 06 November 2020. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible. K) C113 (Part), Calne Without and Bremhill; from its property known as Ratford Cottages for a distance of approximately 80 metres in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out repair of a boundary wall. Alternative route: via C113 (unaffected length) - CI 36 - Norley Lane - A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 October 2020 and the closure will be required until 02 November 2020. For further information please contact Geraldine Baynton on 08451230111 at Sun Traffic. L) B4643 Melksham Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with A4 to its junction with Coppice Close to enable Wessex Water to carry out new water mains connection. Alternative route: via B4643 (unaffected length) - A350 - A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 October 2020 and the closure will be required until 01 November 2020. For further information please contact Tony Proud at Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. Orders (a) to (I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
