Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Newton Lane (Part), Whiteparish; from its junction with Hop Gardens for a distance of approximately 200 metres in a westerly direction to enable BT to carry out Carry out equipment testing and associated works. Alternative route: via Newton Lane (unaffected length) -A36 - A27 Brickworth Road and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 05 February 2021 will now recommence on 26 February 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 1 day. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) A354 (Part), Britford and Coombe Bissett; from its junction with Footpath 13, Britford for a distance of approximately 3 kilometres in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route: via A354 (unaffected length) - A338 - A31 - A350 - A354 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 March 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 09 April 2021. B) Kitchener Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with A345 for a distance of approximately 115 metres in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route: via Kitchener Road (unaffected length) - London Road - A345 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 March 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 for one day. C) Blue Boar Row, Salisbury; from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Winchester Street;
D) Winchester Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Endless Street to it junction with Rollestone Street;
E) Endless Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Blue Boar Row to its junction with Salt Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
The above lengths of road shall also be covered by a No Waiting at Any Time restriction. Alternative route: via Castle Street - Scots Lane - Bedwin Street - Rollestone Street. This Order will come into operation on 24 February 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 28 February 2021. F) St Edmund's Church Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Salt Lane to its junction with Winchester Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Carriageway Resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route - Northbound: via Winchester Street -Greencroft Street - Salt Lane. Alternative route - Southbound: via Salt Lane -Greencroft Street - Guilder Lane - Milford Street - Pennyfarthing Street.
Access to Resident parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm Zone E permit holders only will be prohibited for the duration of the works.
This Order will come into operation on 01 March 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 05 March 2021. For further information please contact Vicky Lauder (Atkins on behalf of Wiltshire Council) on 01225 458692.
G) Sidney Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with York Road for its remaining length in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
Access to Resident parking Mon-Sat 8am-6pm Zone D permit holders only will be prohibited for the duration of the works. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible.
This Order will come into operation on 22 February 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 23 February 2021.
