SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Thorne Road, Netheravon; from its junction with A345 to its junction with Mill Road; B) Pigott Close, Nethsravon; from its junction with A345 to its junction with Mill Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Mill Road - A345 and vice versa. Only one road will be closed at any time. This Order will come into operation on 21 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 for 2 days. C) Gigant Street (Part), Swallowcliffe; from its junction with Bottom Road to a point approximately 30m north west of its junction with Higgins Lane to enable BT to replace poles and associated works. Alternative route via Gigant Street (unaffected length), Common Lane, High Street, Bottom Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D) C61 Hazeldon Lane (Part), Tisbury; from its junction with Nightingale Lane for a distance of approximately 383m in a south westerly direction to enable BT to cany out Pole testing and associated works. Alternative route via C61 (unaffected lengths-Nightingale Lane - C61 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. E) Feme Hollow, Donhead St Andrew and Berwick St John; from its junction with Ox Drove to its junction with Fiveways Crossroads South; F) Fiveways Crossroads South (Part), Donhead St Andrew; from its junction with Feme Hollow to outside the property known as West Lodge to enable BT to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via Fiveways Crossroads South (unaffected length) - C312 - C12 -Water Street - Easton Hollow - Ox Drove and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. G) Water Ditchampton (Part), Wilton; from its junction with A30 to its junction with The Hollows to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer and associated works to prevent flooding. Alternative route via Water Ditchampton (unaffected length) - Wishford Road - South Street - West Street - A36 - A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 October 2021 and the closure will be required until 29 October 2021. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 600 4600. H) C318 Tisbury Row (Part), Tisbury; for a distance of approximately 100m either side of the property known as No.12 Tisbury Row to enable Openreach to carry out new customer connection and associated works. Alternative route via C318 (unaffected length) - C24 - C25 -C318 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 3 days, or further information please contact Sunbelt Rentals 03700 500 792 on behalf of Openreach. I) St Bartholomews Street, Donhead St Andrew; from its junction with Lower Street to its junction with Pigtrough Lane to enable Wessex Water to install critical point and associated works. Alternative route via Pigtrough Lane, New Road, Lower Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 600 4600. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (GRADIDGE LANE, SALISBURY) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2021

(Previously advertised as 2020)
Notice is hereby given that on 6 October 2021 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act of 1984") the effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of motor vehicles (except for access and motorcycles) on Gradidge Lane - the complete length. A copy of the Order and plan may be requested via email to

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Act of 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 18 October 2021.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Enford and Fittleton) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2015 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Avon Valley Back Road - from its junction with Long Street to a point 94 metres south east of its junction with Bridleway 6, Enford; Enford Hill -from a point 10 metres east of its junction with A345 to its junction with Long Street; Field View, Grants Road, Paddock Close, Palmerston Meadow - the complete lengths; Long Street - from its junction with Avon Valley Back Road to a point 14 metres south of the entrance to property known as Village Hall; Water Lane - from its junction with Long Street to a point 22 metres east of the boundary between properties known as Sunnyside and Willowbrook Cottage. Order 2 - To introduce a 30mph speed limit on Enford Hill - from its junction with A345 for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction. Order 3 - To introduce a 40mph speed limit on Avon Valley Back Road -from a point 60 metres south of the centre line of Gladiator Bridge (adjacent property known as Eagle Lodge) to a point 94 metres south east of its junction with Bridleway 6, Enford. NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF ORDER TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND WILDLIFE & COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 SECTION 53A THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL TISBURY 83 (PART) DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2021
On 6 October 2021 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath at Wardour School running from OSGR ST 9251 -2741, south of the C.61 road, in a south-easterly direction for approx 77m, before leading north-east, adjacent to the school playground for approx 42m to OSGR ST 9260-2738, having a width of 4m on that section between OSGR ST 9257-2735 and OSGR ST 9260-2738, to a line running from OSGR ST 9251-2741, south of the C.61 road, in a north-easterly direction parallel to the C.61 road for approx 50m, before leading south-east for approx 84m and then south for approx 2m to OSGR ST 9260-2738, having a width of 2m on that section between OSGR ST 9251-2741 and OSGR ST 9255-2744 and 3m on that section between OSGR ST 9255-2744 and OSGR ST 9260-2738, as shown on the order map and to change the Mere and Tisbury Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1952 accordingly.
