Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of trie Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a "TOUCAN" Crossing (an un-segregated crossing for pedestrians and cyclists) in A345 The Centre, Amesbury at a point approximately 35 metres north of the centre of the {unction with Amesbury Central Car Park.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 90A 2. TRAFFIC CALMING FEATURE -ACCESS ROAD TO CENTRAL CAR PARK, AMESBURY
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes the installation of a Traffic Table Feature on the access road to Central Car Park, Amesbury at a point approximately 6 metres west of its junction witti A345 The Centre, Amesbury. The traffic calming feature will have a maximum height of 125 millimetres with a maximum ramp gradient of 1 in 12 and will form a method of reducing the speed of vehicles crossing in the interests of road safety.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Kings Lane, Ansty; from its junction with Ansty Coombe Lane to its junction with High Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, ironwork adjustments, road markings and associated maintenance. Alternative route via Ansty Coombe Lane, High Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 December 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 for 4 days. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

And to introduce a temporary No Waiting at any time restriction on the following lengths of road: (I) A360 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A303 Longbarrow Roundabout to its junction with A344 (Airman's Comer), (m) A360 (Part), Winterboume Stoke; from its junction with A344 (Airman's Comer) in a westerly direction towards Shrewton for a distance of approximately 1 kilometre, (n) B3086 (Part), Winterbourne Stoke and Shrewton; from its junction with A360/A344 (Airman's Corner) in a northerly direction to its junction with The Packway (Rollestone Crossroads), (o) Fargo Road (Part), Durrington; from its junction with the A345 to a point 300m north at Woodhenge. (p) C42, Stonehenge Road, Amesbury; from its junction with West Amesbury Road to the A303. These Orders are made to ensure public safety during the period of the Winter Solstice at Stonehenge. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Sections (a) to (k) will come into operation at 08:00hrs on Wednesday 15 December 2021 and is expected to remain in force until 18:00hrs on Thursday 23 December 2021. Sections (I) - (p) will come into operation at 18:00hrs on 20 December 2021 and is expected to remain in force until 18:00hrs Wednesday 22 December 2021. The Orders for sections (a) - (i) will have a maximum duration of 06 months. The Order for sections (j) - (p) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The above order, made on 5 November 2021, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the entire width of that length of footpath, over land at Durrington Field, The Packway, Durrington, leading from OSGR ST 1474-4421 in a broadly south westerly direction for approximately 354m to OSGR ST 1441 -4409. If confirmed the order will also have the effect of modifying the Amesbury Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly.
