Various Roads in Wiltshire, Temporary Road Closures to facilitate various works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984


Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Lower Road (Part), Downton; from its junction with Warrens Lane to its junction with Footpath 46 Downton to enable Openreach to carry out replacement of communications equipment and associated works. Alternative route: via Lower Road (unaffected length) -Church Lane - A338 - Warrens Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2022 and the closure will be required for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 526 015. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
B) Parkwater Road, Whiteparish; from its junction with A27 to its junction with Common Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Common Road - A27 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 27 May 2022. C) C294 (Part), Durnford; from outside property known as Roundabout for a distance of approximately 900m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to provide a safe working zone to carry out cable repairs. Alternative route via C294 (unaffected length) - C42 - C292 - C294 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. For further information please contact Openreach on 0370 050 0792.
D) Grimstead Road (Part), Grimstead; from its junction with Windwhistle Road for a distance of approximately 125m in a south westerly direction to enable BT to carry out communications equipment repairs and associated works. Alternative route via Grimstead Road (unaffected length) - Crockford Road - Chapel Hill and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 18 May 2022. For further information please contact BT on 0370 050 0792.
E) C12 (Part), Bishopstone and Broad Chalke; from its junction with Flamestone Street, Bishopstone for a distance of approximately 750m in a south westerly direction to enable BT to carry out underground access and associated works. Alternative route via C12 (unaffected length) - C320 - A3094 - A36 - A30 - C64 - C12 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact BT on 03700 500 792.
F) St James Street (Part), Ludgershall; from its junction with A3026 for a distance of approximately 90m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to install new fibre service and associated works. Alternative route via A3026 - High Street - Church Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. For further information please contact Openreach on 03316678289.
Orders A) to F) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
