Parish of Bishop's Lydeard Temporary Closure of Minehead Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Minehead Road - from the junction with Gore Square, north westwards for a distance of 303 metres. This Order will enable Utility Services Ltd to carry out poling works on behalf of BT Openreach.
The Order becomes effective on 23rd June 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 30th June 2022 and last until 30th June 2022 between the hours of 08:00 -18:00 for a total of 10 hours. Please visit
