HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 116 APPLICATION 3NEW COTTAGES, SHAFTESBURY ROAD, MERE
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make application to the
Magistrates' Court sitting at Wilton Road, Salisbury in the said County at 2pm on Monday 9January 2017 for an Order authorising the stopping of highway rights over asection of highway adjacent to 3New Cottages. The application will be made on the ground that the highway is unnecessary. On the ground, the area concerned forms part of adomestic garden and measures 20 metres long by 4.85 metres wide. It does not have aregistered owner. The application provides for the reservation of ametre's width of verge which would remain between the carriageway and the adjacent hedge. Mere Town Council gave consent to the application on 5July 2016.
The application plan may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Trowbridge,
during normal office hours or requested from Mr. Gale of Legal Services on Tel. No. (01225) 718023. Notice will be published in the London Gazette and the Salisbury
Journal at least 28 days before the application. Any person upon whom notice has been served, any person who uses the highway or any other person who would be aggrieved
by the making of the Order may attend or write to the court and make their objections or
representations known. Such persons are also requested to give advance notice in writing

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Various Temporary Traffic Restrictions: Stonehenge Winter Solstice 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to: Temporarily close to all vehicles: (a) Byway 10 (Part), Durrington;from its junction with Fargo Road to its junction with Byway 12, Amesbury/A344; (b) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury;from its junction with Byway 10, Durrington/crossing the A344 over to its
junction with A303 (T).
And to temporarily close to all vehicles, Pedestrians and Equestrians: (c) Byway 12 (Part), Amesbury;from its junction with A303 (T) in asoutherly direction to its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake; (d) Byway 1(Part), Wilsford cum Lake;from itsjunction with Byway 12, Amesbury to its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James; (e) Byway 11 (Part), Berwick St James;from its junction with Byway 1, Wilsford cum Lake to its junction with Byway 16, Woodford; (f) Byway 16 (Part), Woodford;from its junction with Byway 11, Berwick St James to itsjunction with A360, Druids Lodge; (g) Byway 11 (Part), Amesbury;from its junction with A303 (T) in asoutherly direction to its junction with Byway 2, Wilsford cum Lake; (h) Byway 2, (Part), Wilsford cum Lake;from its junction with Byway 11, Amesbury to itsjunction with Footpath 3atSpringbottom Farm,

And to introduce atemporary No Waiting at Any Time restriction on the following lengths of road: (i) A360 (Part) Winterbourne Stoke;from its junction with A303 Longbarrow Roundabout to its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner); (j) A360 (Part) Winterbourne Stoke;from its junction with A344 (Airman's Corner) in awesterly direction towards Shrewton for adistance of approximately 1km; (k) B3086 (Part) Winterbourne
Stoke/Shrewton;from its junction with A360/A344 (Airman's Corner) in anortherly direction to its junction with The Packway (Rollestone Crossroads). These Orders are made to ensure public safety during the period of the Solstice celebration
at Stonehenge. Sections (a) and (b) will come into operation at 17:00 on Tuesday 20 December 2016 and will remain in force until 12 noon on Wednesday 21 December 2016. Sections (c) to (h) will come into operation at 00:01 on Friday 16 December 2016 and will remain in force until 00:01 on Thursday 22 December 2016. Sections (i) -(k) will come into operation at 06:00 on Tuesday 20 December 2016 and will remain in force until 12 noon on Wednesday 21 December 2016. Entry to the sections of byway indicated by (a)
to (b) will be conditional upon permits to be issued by English Heritage. The Orders for

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Lower Chicksgrove (Part), Sutton Mandeville;for a
distance of approximately 25m either side of the property 'Nut Tree Cottage' to enable
Wessex Water to carry out interim to permanent reinstatement. Alternative route via
Lower Chicksgrove (unaffected length) - Sutton Row -Lagpond Lane -C317 Sutton Hill -
C317 Panters Road -C276 Ham Cross Southeast -C24 Chicksgrove Road -Lower
Chicksgrove (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 December 2016 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day between the hours of 09.30 and 12.00. For further information please contact Victoria

C312 (road to Ferne Wall Corner) to enable BT Openreach to carry out apole replacement survey. Alternative route via C295 (unaffected length) Ashmore Down to Gore Clump -Spread Eagle Hill - Dinah's Hollow -B3081 -A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into
operation on 21 December 2016 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for
two days between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30. For further information please contact
A-Plant Lux on behalf of BT Openreach on 03700 500792. The closures and diversion
routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, although delays are possible due to the nature of the works. The Orders will have amaximum duration of 18 months.
