NEW FOREST DISTRICT COUNCIL BT SCHEME OF PUBLIC PAYPHONE REMOVALS
New Forest District Council hereby gives notice of its draft response to a proposal by British Telecom to remove 80 public telephone call boxes from the District and National Park. The Council considers that 12 of the 80 call boxes should be retained at the following locations:
1. Recreation Ground, Ashley Lane, Hordle SO41 0GA
2. Roundhill Car Park, Fordingbridge SP6 1AQ
3. Efford Way, Lymington SO41 8DA
4. Rockbourne Road, Fordingbridge SP6 3NH
5. Near Cartwheel Inn, Whitsbury SP6 3HE
6. Cedar Road, Hythe SO45 3PG
7. Montgomery Road, Totton SO40 3DF
8. Rumbridge Street, Totton, SO40 9DL
9. Mortimer Close, Totton SO40 2QE
10. Junction of Hampton Lane, Blackfield SO45 1WA
11. Pound Lane, Burley BH24 4EB (NPA)
12. Car Park, Church Lane, Lyndhurst SO43 7EW (NPA)

A full list of the 80 public call boxes that BT propose to remove together with a report of the Council's assessment as to why it considers that 12 of the boxes should remain in place may be viewed at New Forest District Council's Offices: Appletree Court, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst SO43 7PA.
The Council now invites comments on its draft response to the proposal by British Telecom which should be submitted either in writing to the Council at the address given above marked 'Planning Department. BT Consultation', or by email to Dev.control@nfdc.gov.uk by no later than 28 days from the date of this notice.
