Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Pedestrian Crossing -A338 SalisburyRoad, Downton
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a"PUFFIN" (Pedestrian User-Friendly Intelligent) Crossing, aform of traffic signal-controlled crossing in A338 SalisburyRoad, Downton at apoint 16 metres south of the centre of its junction with Long Close West. Acopy of the plan showing the location of the crossing may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Downton Librarybetween the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 2pm to 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday,10am to 5pm Thursday and 10am to 1pm Saturday until 6February2017. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close
temporarily to all traffic to enable Wiltshire Council to undertake works for carriageway reconstruction, surface dressing and road markings: (a) C335 (Part) Mill Lane/East Winterslow, Winterslow; f m its junction with A30 London Road to its junction with C330 Gunville Hill. Alternative route via C330 Gunville Hill/Gunville Road/Middleton Road -Clough Lane -A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 9February2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00
and 18.00 until 13 February2017; (b) C32 Milston Road (Part), Milston and
Bulford;from its junction with Church Road in asoutherly direction for adistance of
approximately 1.6km. Alternative route via C32 Milston Road (unaffected length)/Church
Road/Pollen Lane -C260 Everleigh Road/High Street (Netheravon)/Lower Road -A345 Netheravon/Figheldean/Durrington -A3028 Larkhill Road/High Street (Durrington) -C32
Milston Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on
7February2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 for two days; (c) A345 (Part), Figheldean and Netheravon;from apoint approximately 130m south of its junction with High Street, Figheldean in anortherly direction for adistance of approximately 1.8km to apoint adjacent to The School of Infantry. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) -A303 -A338 -A342 -A345 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 7February2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 for two days; (d) C195 (Part) Chute Causeway,Chute;from
its junction with C195 Hungerford Lane in awesterly direction to apoint approximately
300m west of its junction with ChantryLane. Alternative route via C195 Chute Causeway
(unaffected length) -C196 Oxenwood -C74 Oxenwood/Fosbury-Conholt Hill -C257
Conholt Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 6February2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 for two days; (e) Bodenham Loop Road (Part), Odstock and Downton;
from its junction with Old Road to its junction with A338. Alternative route via A338. This Order will come into operation on 9February2017 and it is anticipated that the
closure will be required for one day between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00; (f) C321 Lucewood Lane (Part), Pitton &Farley and Grimstead;from its junction with
Clarendon Road to its junction with Grimstead Road. Alternative route via C289 Long
Drove/Butterfurlong Road -C331 Adams Mere/Grimstead Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 8February2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be
required for two days between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00. It is anticipated that the

Order to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Wessex Water to repair amain leak: (g) Crown Lane, Ludgershall;from its junction with A342 Butt Street to its junction with Chapel Lane. Alternative routes: Northbound via Chapel Lane -StJames Street -A342 Butt Street and vice versa. Southbound via A342 Butt Street -A342 Castle Street - Chapel Lane/Church Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 8February2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for three days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic to enable BT Openreach to restore customer service: (h) C61 New Road (Part), Donhead St.
Andrew/Sedgehill and Semley;from its junction with C300 Semley Common to
its junction with C313 Pigtrough Lane. Alternative route via C300 -C299 -C62 (Semley Common) - Gulch Common/Britmore Lane -C299 Barkers Hill -C313 Pigtrough Lane and
vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 January2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day only between the hours of 08.00 and

03700 500792. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated
by traffic signs. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, although delays are possible due to the nature of some of the works. The Orders will have amaximum
duration of 18 months.
