ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)(b) A303 TRUNK ROAD
(STONEHENGE SUMMER SOLSTICE, WILTSHIRE) (TEMPORARYRESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) has made an Order on the A303 trunk road, near Amesbury in Wiltshire, because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
The restrictions areexpected to be in place between 00.01 hours on Monday 19 June 2017 and ending at 23.59 hours on Wednesday
21 June 2017.
The effect of the Order is:
(a) to impose a40miles per hour temporary mandatory speed limit on the A303 trunk road near Amesbury from its junction with the A360 at Longbarrow roundabout to its junction with A345 at Countess roundabout.
(b) to authorise the closureofthe laybys:
(i) adjacent to the northernside of the A303 situated 240 metres east of the eastern edge of the A360 Longbarrow roundabout;
(ii) adjacent to the southernside of the A303
situated 660 metres east of the eastern
edge of the A360 Longbarrow roundabout;
(iii) adjacent to the eastbound carriageway of the A303 situated 1160 metres east of its junction with the A344;
(iv) adjacent to the westbound carriageway of the A303 situated 1160 metres east of
its junction with the A344.
(c) to prohibit vehicles stopping on the verge adjacent to the A303 over the same length as described at (a) above.
These measures will be in the interests of road
safety to ensurethe safe, free flow of traffic
during the Stonehenge Summer Solstice event.
The restrictions will not apply to emergency
service or special forces vehicles.
The temporary mandatory speed restriction, layby closures and stopping prohibition will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the period of danger.
The Order will come into force on 17 June 2017
and have amaximum duration of eighteen

THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (WHADDON) (TEMPORARYPROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) has made an
Order on the A36 trunk road near Salisbury
in the County of Wiltshire to allow gas pipe replacement works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take place commencing on or after Friday 23 June 2017 and be completed by 1September 2017. The effect of the Order will be the closureof
the A36 exit slip road to Whaddon.
During the closure described above traffic will be diverted via the A36 northbound and
Southampton Road.
The closure(which will not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles) and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works. The Order will come into force on 21 June 2017 and have amaximum duration of 18 months.
