AN IT trainer at Salisbury District Hospital walked 49 miles in one day raising £1,465 for the Stars Appeal Breast Cancer Unit Campaign.
Liam Thornhill walked out of his house in Durrington to Mudeford beach in 16 hours and 40 minutes. Starting his walk at 5am, he walked past Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Salisbury Cathedral as well as Fordingbridge and Christchurch Priory.
The campaign has now hit its target of £750,000 with building of the unit to start in October. An ongoing fund has been set up to fund future enhancements and services.
