Here is a list of 23 indies who bravely launched during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Salisbury is celebrating its independents this month for Independents' Month, a national campaign that coincides with Independents' Day on Sunday (July 4) to promote local businesses.

In the last 18 months, we have struggled through a pandemic and three lockdowns, but a range of new independent businesses have also chosen Salisbury as their home.

"We wouldn't have survived without the support from the community. We wanted to bring something different to Salisbury and our wood burning stone baked oven plus high quality products manage to achieve this.

"We are really proud to be part of such a strong community with so many independents."

Throughout July, shoppers can pick up a free Salisbury tote bag by spending £20 or more in participating city centre independent businesses.
