The pub in The Maltings remained shut yesterday, after closing early on Wednesday due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.

This morning (Friday, August 27), the venue revealed in a Facebook post that they are finally open on reduced hours in order to trade safely.

The pub will open today between 12pm and 10pm, tomorrow between 12pm and 11pm (with a DJ in the garden between 2pm and 10pm), and Sunday between 12pm and 8pm.

Unfortunately, the Family Fun Day, planned for Sunday, has been cancelled.

General manager, Emmy, said: "We are open again! To trade safe we are running on slightly reduced trading hours.

"We are raising money for Macmillan all weekend.

"Hospitality is short staffed everywhere, please be kind to the ones working this weekend."

The pub was closed on Tuesday August 24, with a poster in the garden apologising for the inconvenience caused.

It then closed early on Wednesday, and yesterday (Thursday, August 26), the venue revealed in a Facebook post that 'things are not back to the normal we like them to be, yet'.

Further updates will be posted on its social media channels.

Greene King, the operator behind Bishops Mill, has been contacted for comment.
