An independent flower shop in a Wiltshire town has been burgled.
Sprout and Flower, on The Square, Mere, was forcefully broken into and had cash stolen in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday, September 23).
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them with any information.
A spokesperson from Wiltshire Police said: "We were called shortly after 8am yesterday morning to a report of a burglary at Sprout and Flower on The Square, Mere.
"It is reported that there were signs of forced entry, with cash being taken from the shop.
"Any witnesses are asked to contact us on 101 and quote log 43 of the date (September 23)."
The spokesperson added that the investigation is in its very early stages but they are sure the officers will be keeping an open mind and exploring if there are any links to other similar incidences in the area.
The shop sells flowers, bouquets and has a coffee bar with cakes, slices and pastries.
