The Government said yesterday (Tuesday, September 28) that the situation is now stabilising.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged people to go about their business normally.

He said: “We now are starting to see the situation improve; we’re hearing from (the) industry that supplies are coming back on to the forecourt in the normal way.

“I would just stress that on the forecourts the situation is stabilising and people should be confident and just go back to their business in the normal way.”

• Esso Riverside, Warminster Road, Salisbury (limited to 20 litres each)

• Stonehenge Filling Station, High Street, Winterbourne Stoke (no diesel)
• Co-Op Service Station, Solstice Park, Amesbury (no diesel)
• Shell, Wilton Road, Salisbury (no diesel, running low on unleaded)
