A shortage of HGV drivers has affected petrol stations nationally, and has caused shortages in and around Salisbury.

The Petrol Retailers Association (PRA) said that the crisis was "virtually at an end" in many parts of the country, but there are still "severe shortages" in other areas.

PRA chairman Brian Madderson said the crisis is coming to an end in Scotland, the North and the Midlands, but more than one-in-five stations in London and the South East were out of fuel.
