A Salisbury salon has now opened in its new premises.

The Hair Extension Cave, previously at 53 Fisherton Street, has now moved into its new location at 39 Silver Street, just off Poultry Cross.

Owned by Molly Cook, the hair and beauty salon opened on Monday (April 11), after renovating the vacant shop.

The site was previously Starbucks, until the coffee shop closed in May 2020.

Molly started the business in a cabin in her back garden in 2015. Her first salon in the city - The Hair Cave - was at 17a Brown Street, near Kludo, before opening in the Fisherton Street premises in January 2018.

Posting on Facebook, Molly Cook said: "I remember taking the photo [of the Fisherton Street salon] and thinking wow this place is humongous, I have no clue how I’m going to afford the rent or the renovation.

"Little did I know four years on I would be taking out a shop four times the size and over three floors that didn’t have any electricity or plumbing.

"Thank you to every single one of my customers that have came through these doors and supported me and the business. I’m looking forward to seeing you in the new salon."

As for Starbucks, the last coffee shop in Salisbury, on the outskirts of the city just off Southampton Road, closed on Sunday (April 10).

However, the Journal understands that the chain is to return to the city centre, although the details have not been finalised yet.
