Live Escape Rooms Salisbury has got a new challenge for players to take on.

The Brig is the latest addition at the venue at Cross Keys Shopping Centre and compliments its Pieces of Eight puzzle chests game.

The escape rooms are run by husband and wife team Charlie and Claire Pitcher. Claire said: "We're both so excited to be welcoming players to experience The Brig. We now have even more to offer visitors to Salisbury and if you have a large group who want to play together at the same time, we can host 11."

The Brig sees teams of between two and five people shackled into the brig of a galleon ship at anchor in Salisbury Docks.

The imprisoned crew must first find their keys to unchain themselves and then solve the puzzles scattered throughout their gaol to escape.

Salisbury Journal:

“But it doesn’t end there,” adds Claire. “This time you have the on-going threat of the wrath of the executioner, who could come and check up on the prisoners at any time during their escape. See him, and you must pretend you’re not up to no good.”

It can be played as a versus to Pieces of Eight.

The new game is set in the 14th century, Grade II listed location in The Cross Keys Shopping Centre, built around its original timbers, low ceilings and creaking floors.

“The space really dictated what the theme was going to be for this game. An old wooden galleon sits perfectly here,” said Claire.

Live Escape Rooms Salisbury has been awarded two accolades since the beginning of 2022.

It was placed in the top 100 escape rooms in the UK. And most recently it was shortlisted for Business of the Year at The Business Excellence Awards 2022.

Claire added: “We’re so happy to have our work in the city of Salisbury recognised by both the local business community as well as escape room enthusiasts and reviewers. We are also Number 1 Fun Thing To Do in Salisbury on Trip Advisor."

The couple is also planning to make another addition to the games on offer at their Cross Keys venue, which also hosts paranormal investigations.

Work on its "flagship" escape rooms experience, The Smallsbury Toy Company, is set to start this summer.

Claire said: "With The Brig now open for bookings, we can continue the build of our flagship game 'The Smallsbury Toy Company'. It's based on the 80s and 90s and the board games we used to play as we were growing up. Half of it is already built so it's just the case of set building in our stunning 14th century venue in The Cross Keys Shopping Centre."
