A PUB has opened its doors following a refurbishment after closing in July 2022.

The Old Mill, on Town Path in Harnham, re-opened on Wednesday, March 8, under new operators Steve and Maria Harris.

This is the first of the pub's three launch stages and it saw the main bar overhauled.

It comes after a £300,000 cash injection from new owner Greene King Pub Partners.

Interior renovations have been done to stay 'in keeping' with the building's traditional features, including wooden panelling and distressed radiators.

The bar, toilets and restaurant areas of the pub have all been significantly upgraded.

New signage has been put up outside and the external decorations have been refreshed.

Marketing director Nathalie Harris said the pub is "looking better than ever" and says it will be the "best spot locally for a pint or great food".

She added: “We're thrilled with the refurbishment of The Old Mill and feel we have given it a new lease of life whilst respecting and maintaining its incredible features.

“We look forward to welcome customers back, especially to enjoy our all-new guest rooms."
