A SHOP in the Old George Mall has closed for good according to the sign in the shop window.
Staff at Clinton Cards, on 53 New Canal, closed the door at the card store at 4pm on Sunday, March 19, and it has now been revealed that it will not be opening again.

Clinton Cards has had a visible presence in the city centre for many years.
The company was first founded in 1968 and by 2012, 397 shops had been purchased by American Greetings,
In December 2019, the company was purchased by Esquire Retail Ltd.
On the Clinton Cards website, 225 stores were listed but the reasons for the closures have not been officially confirmed by the company.
Clinton Cards have been contacted for a statement.
