Emaly said: "Winning this award as a small independent hair salon, after only six months of being open, has come as such a lovely surprise! I couldn't have asked for a better start, and it's all thanks to my loyal clients who have supported me and encouraged me every step of the way.

"Opening a new salon in a small city with so many fantastic hair salons around was pretty daunting, but with my 14 years of experience as a hairdresser and colour specialist, I was determined to make Goodridge Jones a success. And thanks to all of you who voted for me, I feel like I'm on the right track.

Emaly added: "I'm beyond grateful for your support, and I hope to see you all soon at the salon."
