ESTATE agents took on a muddy challenge with their dogs to raise money for charity.

A rural team from Savills Salisbury tackled the Muddy Dog Challenge at Breamore House in the New Forest on Saturday, April 22.

The 5km obstacle course involved weaving in and out of the mutt maze, wriggling through the mud in the canine crawl, leaping over the hurdling hounds and splashing through the doggy ball pit.

Participants from Savills included Christine Frazer with Carson, Adrian Matthews with Fergus, and Poppy Langdon-Down with Mole, from Savills Salisbury office, along with Frances Farrer with Tess, Claire McClellan with Colin, and Holly Janaway with Pudding.

In total, they raised just over £2,400 (as of April 30) for Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.

Christine Frazer of Savills Salisbury says: “We had so much fun getting covered in mud with our four-legged friends to raise lots of money for such a fantastic cause."

Overall more than £98,000 has been raised by the 894 participants from across the country.

Battersea’s senior challenge events officer, Jasmine Monk, thanked all those who took part. She said: “Last year was our first time taking the Muddy Dog Challenge to the New Forest and we’re so thrilled that animal lovers have come out again in their numbers to support Battersea.

"Participants have raised an incredible amount and all the money raised will allow our dedicated staff to care for the thousands of dogs and cats that need our help everywhere."
