Harvester Old Castle has teamed up with AEDdonate in an effort to have a defibrillator installed in the restaurant’s car park.
Danni Newman, assistant manager at Harvester Old Castle, said the business has wanted a defibrillator for about a year.
There will be a big push for the fundraising effort from Friday, August 18 to Sunday, August 20. For the first event, four members of the Harvester team will take part in a skydive over Old Sarum. Regional brand manager Dan Lewis, deputy manager Gina Bradu, assistant manager Aaron Abbott-Myerscouth and assistant kitchen lead Rebecca Hudson, are the lucky ones who will get to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane on a Friday afternoon.

Danni said the decision to incorporate a skydive into the fundraising efforts was a collective decision.
She said: “It was a team effort. We as a team wanted to get a defibrillator on the outside of our building and a lot of the skydivers come up here in the evenings to drink, so one of the team started chatting to them. A lot of team members wanted to jump out and we managed to encourage our regional brand managers to jump, as well.”
On August 20, members of the public will be invited to participate in the fundraising with a dog show featuring categories for Cutest Puppy, Waggiest Tail and Fastest Sausage Eater, among others.
As of writing, £1,293 of the £1,999 had been raised.
