AN ESTATE agency near Salisbury is looking ahead to 2024 with renewed optimism.

Founder Susan Grant said that despite a cooler market in 2023, the industry should pick up again in 2024.

She said: "Following a phenomenal rise in property prices from 2020, the market cooled in 2023. However, unique or special properties will always attract a premium price and at Fox Grant we have found there are also some very keen and motivated buyers.

"Whilst sale prices have generally fallen back since 2022 remember this is relevant if you are purchasing too. In a flatter market, the key is an attractive guide price and with the right agent this will lead to strong interest and ultimately a good sale price.

"Given that inflation should continue to fall through 2024, interest rates should also reduce which would result in the property market gaining some momentum again next year."

Fox Grant was established 20 years ago by William and Susan Grant. William was previously a partner with Woolley & Wallis, Salisbury.

Fox Grant was one of the first estate agencies to make the deliberate decision not to have a High Street presence given the inevitable inexorable rise in the use of the internet for marketing and the need for both agents and potential purchasers to visit the properties.

The business has flourished and now employs a team with over 126 years combined experience and prides itself on offering bespoke high-quality marketing and service; selling village, country, equestrian properties, land, farms, and leisure and tourism businesses.
