A POPULAR arts and crafts retailer will create 13 new jobs when its new store opens in Salisbury.

Hobbycraft, the UK’s largest arts and crafts retailer, has announced the opening of its new shop in Salisbury on Tuesday, February 27.

To celebrate, Hobbycraft will be hosting a 'grand opening event' on Saturday, March 2, at 9am, during which customers will be able to enjoy a selection of product offers, live craft demonstrations, a prize giveaway and free goody bags for the first 100 customers.

The new job roles include a store manager, team leader, and store colleagues who will form a team on hand to help customers with expert craft advice and a friendly service seven days a week.

These roles have offered the Salisbury community an opportunity to apply for the 'Number One Best Big Company to work for in the UK' – awarded in May 2023 by Best Companies.

Customers will be able to purchase from a range of crafting products including baking, home craft, papercraft, knitting, sewing, kids’ crafts and model making to accessories for weddings, celebrations and more.

A selection of offers will be available across the Hobbycraft range during the opening on and there will also be the opportunity to enter a prize giveaway of a 'Snazaroo product bundle', available between 9am and 1pm at the free Snazaroo Face Painting stand which will be in attendance on the day.

Store Manager, Emily Richards, comments: "We are really looking forward to opening the doors to our Salisbury store and sharing our passion for arts and crafts with the local community.

"Over the last few years, we have seen more people than ever take up crafting and we want to encourage locals to come down to the new store and share their crafting experience.
