A CITY centre second-hand clothing shop has closed its doors for good due to "the current economy".
Sisters Wardrobe, in Winchester Street, closed its doors on Friday, June 28.
In a post on the shop’s Facebook page, owners Katy Shergold and Jess Hodgkinson said: “To our amazing customers it’s time to close the doors of our beloved sister-run consignment shop.
"This journey has been filled with countless memories, incredible support, and cherished friendships. We are so grateful for each and every one of you who has been part of our story.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the love, loyalty, and encouragement you've shown us. It's been an honour to serve you, and we will carry these moments with us forever.

“While this chapter comes to an end, we look forward to new beginnings and hope our paths will cross again.
“With gratitude and love, Katy & Jess”.
Speaking to the Salisbury Journal, Katy said: “We have had the shop for two years but unfortunately have made the decision to shut, due to the current economy.
“Footfall, parking costs and ongoing roadworks in Salisbury haven't made it easy for local businesses.
“Myself and Jess would like to thank our sellers and customers for supporting us. We have met some amazing people and been lucky to take part in community events and fundraising, the shop was a great hub for the community, it has been a hard decision to leave.
“We are both looking forward to supporting local, but have decided not to remain in the city.”

The shop is now empty of items, with only furniture having been left.
It is unclear if the business will reopen in the future. Sisters Wardrobe first opened in April 2022. The shop sold second-hand ladies' and children’s clothes.
