A jeweller that has been running for almost 40 years is expanding in the centre of Salisbury.
Sarum Jewellers has been open at 14 New Canal since 1986 and is owned by Paul Sandy.
The business will expand to the building next door, on 7 Fish Row, formerly a clothing shop ‘Repertoire’ and before that, The Wheatsheaf Inn.

The extension building has been closed for two years, but it is now undergoing renovations ahead of its opening.
“We’ve got a very good reputation in town, and we have two goldsmiths working on the premises," Paul said, "We carry out around 500 jewellery repairs a month.”
“Our shop is always busy, but because it’s so busy, there’s no space or sense of ambience. There will be more space in the shop, we’ll have proper desks for customers to sit at – instead of chairs and a coffee table with chairs.
“We’re moving next door but keeping the existing one. People will be able to look through the window and see the goldsmiths at work. There will be a desk in the goldsmith’s workshop for commission work and designing.”
Paul hopes that the extension will open in early October.
