More than 50 per cent of the homes at Howarth Park either sold or reserved in under nine months.

It is situated on an historic site on Milford Hill, and is a collection of spacious homes and apartments for residents over 55.

Salisbury Journal:

Designed by David James Architects and built by Poole-based housebuilders Westcoast Development, the mix of two, three and four bedroom homes have a dedicated estate manager.

Interest in the scheme has seen nine of the homes sold since its launch in spring 2021.

Each home has open plan living areas, high ceilings, stunning kitchens and bathrooms, and a private outside area.

In addition to two electric vehicles available for use by residents via a booking system, the specification includes highly efficient gas boilers, herringbone laid Amtico flooring to main living areas and luxury fitted carpet to the bedrooms, underfloor heating to principal areas, outstanding internal design and finish, and a 10 year AHCI insurance / warranty policy.

Guide prices for the available homes, are from £650,000.

As one of the oldest established areas of the city, the original settlement of Milford Hill - often referred to as ‘Old Town’ - pre-dates the creation of modern day Salisbury and has transformed multiple times over the years.

Salisbury Journal:

Most notably, it was where Milford Hill House was built, home to prestigious families before becoming a guest house in later years and eventually achieving Grade II listed status. Much like today, Milford Hill was seen as a suburban retreat that offered all the benefits of the adjacent city centre just a stroll away.

Samantha Luckhurst, in the residential development sales team at Savills in Salisbury, says: “Much thought has gone into the development of Howarth Park to ensure this will be an exceptional place to live, with contemporary houses boasting high ceilings and an abundance of natural light. The properties ensure space and privacy, while the estate setting means that company is right on your doorstep, if you desire.

Salisbury Journal:

“Buyers here so far have been drawn not only by the excellent specification but the location, which is within easy reach of the amenities Salisbury has to offer as well as Southampton Airport. The handsome buildings, stunning grounds and majestic Cedar of Lebanon evoke memories of grandeur and are akin to something out of a Jane Austen novel. The peace of mind an onsite estate manager provides also enables downsizers to enjoy a stylish, secure and independent lifestyle.”
