THE Link Villages Show returned for the 46th time this year.
This ever popular event took place on Saturday September 2 at the newly refurbished Hyde War Memorial Parish Hall near Fordingbridge.
There was a splendid display of produce including vegetables, flowers, home baking and preserves. In particular the floral arrangement “a miniature exhibit in an eggcup” proved to be very popular. Other classes included photography, limerick writing, handicrafts and children’s sections.
Show chairman, Andrew Briggs said: “It was another wonderful show. There were some great exhibits and everyone who attended seemed very happy - especially the cup winners”
Bernie Tully, Chair of the Hyde Parish Council, presented 16 perpetual challenge cups. The Burnham cup, was awarded to Lyndsey Whitehead who retained her title as the overall winner with the highest number of points in show.
Stephen Darke was awarded the Gordon Shutler cup.
The raffle and auction of produce rounded off another great community led day.
