A VISUAL arts exhibition marking the 100-year anniversary of the First World War will open at The Young Gallery, Salisbury from Monday, September 1.
The Cicatrix exhibition features a distinctive interpretation of mapping, scarring and the creation of memorials with Salisbury Plain providing the cornerstone for the work.
Prudence Maltby, curator, said: “As with any creative process we’ve been chipping away, searching beyond the fallout of conflict and seeing the marks left behind – on a landscape – on humanity.”

The grand opening of the exhibition on Saturday, August 30 is by invitation only.
