THE Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival has announced the inclusion of hilarious stand-up shows from Henning Wehn, Shappi Khorsandi and Rich Hall for this year’s festival.

Henning Wehn: Eins, Zwei, DIY, May 28 (16+) Henning Wehn brings his own particular brand of Westphalian wit to the festival, observing the foibles of British society with hilarious wonderment.

Expect a crash course in personal accountability and have a right old laugh at the same time. Wunderbar!

Shappi Khorsandi: Because I’m Shappi… , May 30 (16+) Shappi Khorsandi missed 2013 but now she’s back with a brand new tour that reflects on the good things, celebrating her haphazard zigzag towards her dreams.

Handling every subject with a razor-sharp wit and whip-crack jokes, softened only by her deliciously mischievous delivery, Khorsandi remains effortlessly funny. Sponsored by ABC Networking.

Rich Hall: 3:10 to Humour, June 5 (16+) Rich Hall’s critically acclaimed grouchy, deadpan style has established him as a master of absurdist irony and the king of rapid-fire wit.

The award-winning Montana native hitches his wagon to tour the British Isles once again. Presented in association with City Hall, Salisbury.

The 43rd Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival runs from May 22 –June 6.

The annual 16-day festival blazed into life in 1973 with a performance by Paco Peña and it is a leading commissioning and producing festival which attracts over 70,000 attendances each year and contributes £3m to the regional economy.

The festival won a gold award for Tourism Event of the Year in the 2013/14 South West Tourism Awards.

Details of the full programme are due to be launched on March 2.
