THE Band of the Scot’s Guards will be visiting Salisbury on Saturday, July 7.

The Angel & The Fallen concert is part of the Cathedral’s events to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.

The band, under directorship of Major Ian Johnson are taking time out of their busy schedule, where their most regular duty is the Queens Guard at Buckingham Palace, to rehearse with the other artists for this concert.

Laura Wright, who first shot to fame as chorister of the year when she was just 14 will be joining them, along with the St John Singers, Salisbury Youth Choir and the Cathedral’s Junior Choir.

News presenter Alastair Stewart will be presenting the evening.

The concert starts at 7.30pm, where David Corum will be playing the Willis Organ and The English Youth Ballet will be performing a unique composition choreographed by Dominic Marshall.
