SALISBURY Area Young Musicians (SAYM) are celebrating 30 years of making music with a day of performances in the city.

The young musicians will be performing on Sunday in the market square.

With bands, choirs and orchestras, more than 370 young musicians will be performing throughout the day.

The day will be a celebration of the musical talents of young people in Salisbury.

SAYM manager Richard Parsons said: “We feel it’s quite an achievement to have kept going for so long and brought music to the young people of Salisbury.”

SAYM are a registered charity and has been providing music making opportunities for children and young people aged 4 to 19 for 30 years.

The performance on Sunday starts from 10am with the last one taking place at 3.30pm.
