THE landscapes of Salisbury Plain will be the focus of a new exhibition at Fisherton Mill, Salisbury.
Landscape of the Plain features work by Rob Hames who last year decided to give up his day job as an art teacher to become a fulltime artist.
Now he is giving his first solo show, exhibiting nearly 40 paintings and sketches at Fisherton Mill.
He says: “It’s been hard work, but there’s never a dull moment and I am very lucky to be able to do this as a living.”
Rob’s work is firmly rooted in the Wiltshire countryside and the exhibition focuses on Salisbury Plain and Rob’s fascination with this ancient area of down land.
The exhibition runs from September 8 to October 6.
