Makes 12
INGREDIENTS
60g ground hazelnuts
90g plain flour ½ tsp baking powder
180g chocolate spread (such as Nutella)
small pinch salt
1tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
Filling and decoration
50g chocolate spread (such as Nutella)
Icing sugar
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C Fan/350°F/Gas Mark 4 2. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
3. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl.
4. Add the vanilla, egg and chocolate spread and beat into a stiff dough.
5. Divide the mixture in half.
6. Roll half the dough into balls and shape into little, fat discs (small cookie shape) 7. Place the 12 discs evenly on the baking tray.
8. Dollop a small teaspoonful of chocolate spread on each disc.
9. Use the remaining half of the dough to make 12 further discs.
10. Cover each dollop with another disc of dough and seal around the edges.
11. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
12. Allow to cool completely before dusting with icing sugar.
13. Best served a little warm.
