A HEDGE has been planted at Wilton Community Centre to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The centre applied to the Woodlands Trust for some plants and on November 10 a party of trustees, led by Charlotte Blackman, cleared the garden, dug a trench and planted hazel, holly, briar rose and hawthorn saplings.
There will also be a plaque installed to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and an oak tree will be planted at a later stage when the town has decided where to put it.
