ENTRY to the competition Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2012 is now open.
Outdoor Photography magazine has joined forces with The Outdoors Show, to be held at ExCel, London on January 17-20, next year. Now in its third year, the competition offers six categories across the genres of landscape, wildlife, nature and adventure: Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2012, Light on the Land, Wildlife Insight, Nature in Close-up, At the Water’s Edge, Spirit of Adventure and Young Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2012 (18 years and under).
The overall winner will receive £1,000 cash and the category winners will each receive a £250 voucer from Wex Photographic, the online photographic retailer.
Editor of Outdoor Photography Steve Watkins said: “This competition is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after awards by outdoor photographers around the globe. We are delighted to team up with The Outdoors Show this year to be able to showcase the exhibition of winning images to the largest audience yet.”
The awarded images, along with other selected images, will be exhibited at The Outdoors Show, which attracted 85,000 visitors in January this year.
