A 20-YEAR-OLD woman is recovering in hospital after being hit by a bus in Salisbury city centre yesterday afternoon.
The woman suffered a head injury but it was not life threatening and she is expected to be released from hospital in the next few days.
It is believed she was crossing the road at the junction of Catherine Street and New Canal at about 4pm when she was hit by a Wilts & Dorset bus.
Police closed the two roads - Catherine Street at the junction with New Street and New Canal at the junction with Milford Street - until 6pm.
The incident is being treated as an accident but any witnesses can contact PC Pete Williamson from the roads policing unit on 101.
