A MAN has appeared in court charged with murder after his wife was stabbed to death in Amesbury.
Roy Simister, 49, of Maple Way, Amesbury appeared before magistrates in Salisbury this morning and was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on April 30.
Police were called to an address in Maple Way just before 10.15pm on Monday where they found 45-year-old Deborah Simister with serious stab wounds to her neck.
Mrs Simister was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital where she died later that night.
