WILTON District Youth Band presented a cheque for £500 to a charity which helps melanoma patients.
The band’s musicians raised the money for Factor 50, a charity which has cared for former band member Steve Chalk, at a Christmas concert last year.
To celebrate the occasion, a quiz night was held at Broad Chalke Village Hall on Saturday evening (April 13) where the money was handed over.
Chairman of the band, Bob Stephens, said: “It was an incredible evening in a packed hall. “We try to give as much money as we can to charity and this time it’s special because we’ve raised money for Factor 50, which is close to our hearts.”
