SALISBURY Hospice is to open its first charity shop.
The hospice has been in partnership with Bradford on Avon’s Dorothy House Hospice in a joint venture with The Hospice Shop for the past six years but Salisbury Hospice Charity now feels it is in a position to run its own shop, due to open in Catherine Street in August.
Manager Caroline Bennison said: “I have been looking for an opportunity for some time to give something back, particularly after losing a really close friend and colleague who benefited from the work of the charity, so I am really thrilled to be here.” The charity is now looking for volunteers and donations.
Donations can be left at the shop from early August and anyone interested in volunteering can call Mrs Dennison on 01722 416 353 or email caroline@salisburyhospicecharity.org.uk.
