SALISBURY and Whiteparish will be among the first areas in Wiltshire to benefit from superfast broadband.
A £35.6m partnership project between Wiltshire Council, South Gloucestershire Council and BT, is rolling out fibre broadband to areas that fall outside the private sector’s commercial plans.
Salisbury and Whiteparish will be the next areas to benefit, following Alderbury and Downton, which were confirmed earlier this year as the first communities to be included in the partnership’s roll-out plans.
The first homes and businesses in these areas will be able to order fibre broadband by summer 2014.
