BISHOP Wordworth’s School held its annual prizelgiving ceremony at Salisbury Cathedral this week.
The occasion included performances by the school choir and A-Level singers, an opening prayer from Canon Edward Probert and introduction by chairman of governors Jane Ranaboldo.
Headmaster Dr Stuart Smallwood outlined some of the school’s successes over the past year and the guest speaker was Old Wordsworthian, Lieutenant Commander Chris Trubshaw, who had earlier arranged for a Royal Navy helicopter to land in the Cathedral Close.
Prizes were given out in all subject areas, for sporting achievements and languages and for other contributions to school life including performing arts, community service, public speaking and good manners.
