FAMILIES are invited to go on a fungi foray in Stourhead’s autumn garden on Saturday, October 5.
Fungi expert Michael Jordan will be on hand at the National Trust site to share his extensive knowledge and help families identify just some of the 16,500 species that exist in the UK.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for families to have some fun discovering and identifying some of the different types of mushrooms and toadstools that can be found here Stourhead,” said visitor experience officer Martin Clements.
The fungi forays take place between 10.30am to noon or 2pm to 3.30pm. The forays will start at the discovery centre in the Stableyard at Stourhead. The cost for each foray is £8 per adult and £4 per child, plus normal admission.
Places are limited and booking is essential.
