A WOMAN has died after being hit by a car as she walked along the A36 at Plaitford last night.
The woman, thought to be in her 20s, was hit by a silver Volkswagen Golf at about 11.15pm.
Police are still trying to contact her next of kin.
The road was closed for six hours while Hampshire Police investigated.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
