YOUNG actors will be making dramatic sense out of Confusions, a work by the renowned playwright Alan Ayckbourn that is being staged at Bishop Wordsworth’s School in Salisbury tonight.
The first of four performances is tonight at 7.30pm.
The work was premiered in the early 1970s and consists of five short one-act pieces performed by an ensemble of five actors. The plays are: Mother Figure; Drinking Companion; Between Mouthfuls; Gosforth’s Fete and A Talk in the Park.
The plays are being performed and staged in the drama studio by the boys of Bishop Wordsworth’s and the girls of South Wilts School.
There will be performances at 7.30pm tonight, tomorrow and Saturday and a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday. Tickets for adults cost £8 and for children and pensioners, the cost is £5.
In addition to the play, Bishop Wordsworth’s is also offering a two-course pre-theatre dinner for £10 before tonight’s and tomorrow’s performances.
Dinner is served in the BWS Dining Hall and all meals come with one non-alcoholic drink.
