SALISBURY Hospice Charity has a new chairman.
Dr Shaun McGee, who has held the post for nearly seven years, has stepped down to be replaced by Ceri Hurford-Jones, managing director of the city’s radio station, Spire FM.
Dr McGee said he felt that it had been an honour and a privilege to have been able to serve the community in this way.
He added: “I have met so many amazing people during my time in office from whom I have learned so much and feel greatly enriched by.”
Mr Hurford-Jones said: “This is an exciting time to lead the board of trustees. I look forward to dealing with the challenges ahead and to leading such an important local charity.”
